Hi, I'm Carl Sundberg, the founder of Stonemonk Media. I live in the suburbs of Portland, Oregon with my wife, Kea and our golden retriever, Odin. Born and raised in Florida, I have called Oregon home since 1993. In 2004, I graduated from the University of Oregon (Go Ducks!) on the Dean's List with a Bachelor of Science in Journalism and a Minor in Business Administration. I was a Media Fellow at Stanford University's Hoover Institution from 2017-2018 and a recipient of The William Randolph Hearst Journalism Awards for Editorial Writing in 2004. Before launching Stonemonk Media in 2021, my career in the media spanned over two decades and took me from Slash's tour bus to the East Room of the White House. I am a seasoned front-end web developer, social and email marketing strategist, award-winning writer, professional musician, producer and digital content expert. I have lived on the cutting edge of digital marketing since the late 90s, embracing new technologies as they emerged, from AOL to AI. With that experience, a relentless curiosity and a tenacity for excellence, I have held several executive, director and upper management positions throughout my career.
